Hello! I am Shadmaan!
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Utah and a member of SCI. After initially beginning my Ph.D. at the University of Arizona, I transferred to the University of Utah with my advisor, Dr. Kate Isaacs.
Before my Ph.D., I earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Utah. I also hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh.
My research focuses on data visualization, human-computer interaction, and high-performance computing. At the SCI Institute, I work with Dr. KateIsaacs in collaboration with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) to optimize and visualize large binary code. I study how visual design—through structure, color, and interaction effects interpretation and decision-making.
My work spans two directions: visualizing compiler optimizations to explain how source code transforms during compilation, and studying colormap perception to understand how people perceive color differences across contexts.
