Hello! I am Shadmaan!
I am a third-year PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Utah and a member of SCI. After initially beginning my Ph.D. at the University of Arizona, I transferred to the University of Utah with my advisor, Dr. Kate Isaacs.
Prior to my Ph.D. work, I pursued graduate studies in Information and Computing at Northern Arizona University and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology in Bangladesh.
My research focuses on Data Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction and High Performance Computing. My current work with Dr. Isaacs at the SCI Institute includes a collaborative project with Lawrence Livermore National Lab (LLNL) , focusing on optimizing code for large binary files and advancing their visualization. I am also working to understand the impact of graph layout visualizations on general people vs computing people.
